Social Web & Golf?

It's Social Web week after all. Any ideas how we can infuse this good old fashioned throwdown (hey, that's what match play is!) with social web?

Course Venues

Narrowed it down to Laurel View and The Tradition at Wallingford. Any other ideas?

Ryder Format

How's this to kick-off an annual tradition: Host (New Haven) vs. Rest of CT. Let's see if we can get 4-8 golfers on each side to have 2-4 flights at the least.

I will recruit for New Haven. Who's captaining Rest of CT?

Potential venues

Andre Yap's picture
Yale, Laurel View , The Tradition Wallingford, any others. 3-4 flights should be enough to get the Cup going. Got some ideas for prize posterity. Send in your thoughts.

I forget what it's called (best ball? fourball?) - but some combo of team format where best score for each hole is recorded, but still allows for individual play and scoring. I think we can keep costs down to $40 (18 holes and cart). Early morning teetime, then off to health & Wellness Expo, then onto World Cup Finale, then onto the next 5 days of swCT...
